Frequently asked questions Interactive Map
WebTrak provides information on aircraft operated only from Palma de Mallorca airport, including the flight number, the type of plane, the altitude and the flight path followed.
The application processes the information from radar and flight plans data provided by the Torrejón and Palma de Mallorca air traffic control centres (ACC-Madrid and ACC-Palma de Mallorca) and from noise data from the Noise Monitoring Terminals (TMR) located in the surrounding towns. This information is displayed on maps of the area.
The information is completely reliable. The TMR's are checked yearly in an official laboratory, in compliance with the Law on Metrology and Technical Instruction ITC 2845/2007 dated 25 September. Furthermore, in compliance with the Law on Metrology, all of the TMR's have passed the tests necessary to have the Model Approved in Spain label.
For security reasons, the flight path information is displayed with a 30 minutes delay. Noise level information correlated with the aircraft that produced the noise may suffer a 24-hour delay.
Historic data over a period of 60 days may be consulted.
Green stands for take-offs and red for landings of aircraft operated at all times by Palma de Mallorca airport.
The aircraft operated by Palma de Mallorca airport flying below 20,000 ft (6,096 m.) and located in a rectangular area centred on the airport and with sides of 100 x 100 km will be shown.
The computer on which WebTrak information is accessed must have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player installed. In addition, it must have at least the following characteristics:
- Windows 98 or later.
- 128 MB of RAM (256 MB recommended).
- 500 MHz processor (1 GHz recommended).
