Scholarships - Training courses - Master in Airport System Management XV edition 2020

NOTICE: Due to the COVID-19 current situation, Aena International Cooperation has decided to cancel the training courses for the second half of 2020.

Aena SME S.A. and the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) jointly organise and schedule the project, which includes assigning scholarships for different modules in the Master in Aeronautical System Management 2020, to be given by the School of Aeronautics and Space Engineering (Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Aeronáutica) at the Polytechnic University of Madrid. The Aena International Cooperation Programme is designed for civil aviation professionals in countries with historical ties to Spain, as well as those in any other country with technical cooperation needs, for the purpose of training professionals and helping develop air transport in these countries.

The Master in Aeronautical System Management includes the following modules:

First semester:

  • 6 scholarships for the "Airlines and Aviation Operators Management" course (27 January-6 February 2020).
  • 7 scholarships for the "Management and operation of airport facilities" course (24 February- 5 March 2020).
  • 7 scholarships for the "Economic and Financial Management" course (23 March-2 April 2020).

We are not ruling out the possibility of calling additional modules that have not been notified based on need or demand, or increasing the number of scholarships available per module, depending on the budget.

The conditions of the scholarships are attendance at classes in the afternoon and scheduled visits to Aena facilities in the morning, as detailed in Appendix 1.

The scholarships will be offered preferentially to candidates from public institutions and those whose professional careers are directly linked with the course objectives. A letter of recommendation will be valued as well as any other institutional document endorsing the application.

The application period ends 40 days prior to the beginning of the corresponding module.

Candidates who have not been selected for a module will be able to apply for a place in subsequent modules by submitting a new application. In the event that they have submitted a multiple application for various courses, they will not need to resubmit their application.

Additional information on the various course contents is available on the website for the Master in Aeronautical Systems Management of the School of Aeronautics and Space Engineering (Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Aeronáutica y del Espacio) at the Polytechnic University of Madrid,
